Jan Jorgensen
Chief Operating Officer
Jan Jorgensen is the COO with overall management responsibilities for all of the Indonesian business operations. He has had in excess of 12 years experience in the pearling industry in Australia and Indonesia. With an intimate knowledge of pearl farming, Indonesian culture and language as well as strong management skills, Jan is a senior member within the management team. He fills the role of Managing Director of the Groups Indonesian subsidiary, PT Cendana Indopearls.
Tim Jones
Marketing and Distribution Manager
Tim Jones is the Marketing and Distribution Manager, principally responsible for the merchandising and marketing of the pearl harvests. He has extensive experience in the South Sea pearl business, having previously managed the sales and distribution for two of Australia’s largest pearl producers.
Prior to emigrating to Australia in 2001, Tim has a background in the rough diamond business, having worked for The Diamond Trading Company, a part of the DeBeers organisation as both a diamond buyer in Africa and a sales executive in London.
Colin Triefus
Retail Manager
Colin Triefus is employed as the Indonesian-based Retail Manager and is tasked with developing the retail division of Atlas. From the early 1990's following a distinguished career in the diamond and jewellery retail, Colin has been a sought-after independent consultant specialising in product development and retail range structures. He has been an advisor to many leading international jewellery companies including Kurgan, Tara & Fabrikant in America, Myer, Aurostyle, Donovans, and Sunny Creations in Hong Kong and Angus & Coote, Goldmark, Citygold and Bond Street in Australia.
Aurore Lombard
Technical Manager
Aurore joined Atlas in 2007 and is formerly a marine biologist. She spent most her career in pearling with her main area of expertise in the reproduction and hatchery propagation of spats for both south sea pearl species P. maxima and P. margaritifera. She started her career in Darwin in 1997 with the pioneers in that field and worked exclusively for Robert Wan in different pearl farms mainly in Thailand and French Polynesia.
In 2009 she moved from oyster production to the pearl grading area and manages the preparation of the lots for the wholesale market, thus giving her a perfect knowledge of the product.
