Environment

Atlas takes its role as an Environmental Custodian of the Ocean (ECO) seriously and operates harmoniously both with nature and local communities.

We actively engage in marine preservation projects like coral reef and mangrove rehabilitation, and shore erosion as well as help organise ocean patrols to eradicate fish bombing and poisoning on reefs.

In 2007, Atlas was involved in the building of conservation ship, “The “Kalabia” which operates in Raja Ampat, now considered to be the most bio-diverse marine habitat left on the planet and an area which surrounds our Alyui project .

Atlas has been commended by numerous Non-Government Organisations including Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy and World Conservation Society.
